New Home Inspections
We provide new home inspections across the Blue Mountains and to Bathurst, Lithgow, Penrith, the Hawkesbury and Windsor.
Final Inspections (new homes), Practical Completion, Final Walk thru inspections are a necessary end to the long complicated process in new home construction. Final payments to builders should not be concluded until all unfinished work has been completed. Discovering and rectifying uncompleted aspects to a new home after handover can become a frustrating experience with some building companies.
We have 20 years experience in the project home industry and have conducted hundreds of inspections. Inspections carried out at distinct times during construction are often found to be an advantage in assuring the integrity of the home is not compromised.
The advised stages of building inspections are:
- Concrete slab
- Timber frame and roof
- Roof tiles complete with brickwork in place and service rough-ins completed
- Wall and floor tiling completed
- Final inspection
Each report will include all minor and major defects, unfinished work, defects of the builder’s responsibility, work not complying with the Building Code of Australia, plus photographs of defects which are included in the building report.
Different designs, construction types and investment levels of properties require more specialised inspections. These aspects are taken into consideration and inspections are tailored to suit the relevant stage of inspection required.
Reports are based on the relevant Australian Standards AS 4349.0-2007 and As 4349.1-2007 and the NSW Guide to Standards and Tolerances 2004.
